endemic reptiles experience!
The Bahamas has a rich diversity of reptile species and subspecies found throughout the archipelago. For example, we have three species of West Indian rock iguanas, seven species of geckolets, seven species of Anoles, seven species of curlytail Lizards, 12 species of Snakes, and two species of freshwater turtles. Wild Bahamas offers excursions to various islands to see some of these amazing animals. We can explore the wetlands of Eleuthera for Cat Island sliders, boat through the cays of Andros in search of Andros rock iguanas, and if you can take the heat, we can ramble through the scrub Forests of Great Inagua in search of the Inagua Gecko, Inagua curlytail, and Inagua whiptail.
While there is no guarantee that a wild animal will be found we will do our best to locate as many as possible as well as showcase the other amazing animals that call our islands home. Book a trip with us today.

endemic birds Run!
Looking to add new West Indian Endemic Birds to your list? Well look no further. Wild Bahamas has created an excursion that focuses on hitting three Bahama Islands that feature most of our six Bahamian birds. Sadly, we may have lost one of our “Sensational Six” as the Bahama Nuthatch (Sitta insularis) has not been seen since its home island, Grand Bahama was ravaged by Hurricane Dorian in 2019. Despite this, however, we still have a slew of amazing birds that you can add to your Caribbean bird repertoire. Come and ramble through the pinelands of Abaco and Andros as we search for the Bahama Warbler, Bahama, Swallow, Bahama Yellowthroat and Bahama Oriole and head to the “Endemic Capital of The Bahamas” Inagua where you can find the endemic Inagua Lyretail hummingbird. While here, we can visit various locations on each island such as Evans Cave in Andros, Jungle Pond, Uncle Charlies and Rainbow Blue Holes, and Blue Hole National Park. We can explore Great Inagua including the Morton Salt Company and see the iconic Caribbean Flamingo, Inagua Parrots while learning about local island culture from the islanders and the different ecosystems seen across the Bahama Archipelago.
