Conservation through Artistic expression
Throughout history, landscapes, animals, and natural elements have been central themes in artistic expression, capturing the awe-inspiring and sometimes volatile relationship between humans and the earth. Today, artists continue to explore environmental themes, using their work to address pressing issues such as climate change, deforestation, and pollution amongst others. Through a variety of mediums—such as painting, sculpture, photography, etc., we believe that art communicates the urgency of these concerns, translating complex environmental problems into visual experiences that resonate emotionally with audiences.

The Bahamian environment is a vivid kaleidoscope of colours—brilliant blues, yellows, pinks, greens, and browns—that celebrate the astounding diversity of its ecosystems and wildlife. From the glistening purple throat of the male Bahama Woodstar to the shimmering scales of a Bahamian Racer snake, our islands are a treasure trove of colourful and eye-catching creatures.

Using pastels, Coereba Art wishes to merge creativity with advocacy, and seeks to promote a more harmonious relationship between the wider Bahamian populace and the natural world of The Bahamas.
